Greatest Life Accomplishment:

Attaining all of the goals I set out to do in my life, becoming a professional beach volleyball player and becoming a great volleyball coach for the youth. I wanted my work to be what I loved, and I love volleyball. Being a mom is another one of my greatest life accomplishments, and is also very rewarding.

How I got involved: When I was 14 my parents moved to a new city. My mother made (yes, forced me) to tryout for the high school volleyball team because it was a fall sport and she thought I would meet people by going to the summer tryouts. I had never touched a volleyball in my life at this point. I made the freshman team but sat on the bench all season. I met my best friend and she asked me to tryout for a club team (AZ Juniors). I made the club team and that was it, I was hooked for life. I made the varsity volleyball team as a sophomore and played on an 18-under team for AZ Juniors for 3 years. That got me a scholarship to 2 Division 1 NCAA colleges. I knew someday I wanted to play beach volleyball.
Inspiration:

My father. My father was a professional baseball player and an amazing role model. Not only did he set a good example for how to be a great athlete but also how to be a great person. I'm inspired to be like him both on and off the court. God is also my inspiration because he gave me my talent. I am inspired by the gift he has granted me and feel it's my duty to use my talent to the best of my ability. Lastly, my family (my husband and my son) inspire me because they too have amazing talent and we are all very competitive.

How I conserve resources:

REDUCE, REUSE, RECYCLE - Lots of recycling, walking and biking instead of driving and supporting our local farmers market.

I discovered Metromint while shopping at Whole Foods. I have always been a huge mint lover so I bought one to try and have been hooked ever since. Every variety is really my favorite!
