| How I got involved: | I was first introduced to Wushu in 5th grade when my Dad took me and my brother to a Wushu class. I actually didn't like it at first, but I stuck with it and ended up loving it. I quit after I went moved away from Oregon, but got back into it when I went to college and joined the University of Oregon Wushu Club! |
| Inspiration: | My inspiration for everything comes from my motto, "Keep it simple." Simplicity applies to everything (including Metromint)! I try my best to live life as simplest as possible while still being happy. My friends at Wushu Club are always supportive, and that it simply keeps me happy. |
| Cause Related/Green Planet Efforts: | Like my fellow Metromint All Star, Lauren Thies, I was also raised in Oregon, so "recycle, reduce, and reuse" is engraved into my head. It's really helpful that my school is environmentally conscious too, because everywhere on campus are recycling bins for bottles, glass, newspapers, etc. |
